Jamboree Heritage

Dear Scouters and friends,

The Western Cape Heritage Team is pleased to announce that after many months of perusing our archives we have been able to create a unique and never before published narration of the experiences of  South African Scouts and Scouters who have attended overseas Jamborees.

Starting with the first World Jamboree way back in 1920 we have used formal reports, personal scrap books, newspaper cuttings and Scout logbooks to build an easy to follow timeline of these events. We have also included National Jamborees of countries in which South Africans have participated.

A hardcopy of the project has been presented to both the National and Western Cape offices and a printer friendly copy on CD with all the text and photo's is on sale at the Western Cape HQ.

Should you or someone you know have documentation or photos that could enhance this project then we would like to hear from you.
